Happy Father's Day

It has been such a wonderful and sweet experience watching Anthony be a father. He truly is the best dad--full of love and patience, and he lights up whenever he sees Liam. I knew he would be a great dad, but he really has surpassed any expectation I ever had. I love him so much.

Fun in the Sun!

I am loving the warm weather we have been having! The last two weekends we have packed our things and lounged pool side. I had heard that you are supposed to wait till babies are 3 months before you take them into the pool. (don't know if that's accurate, but I figured better safe than sorry) Liam is 2 weeks shy of 3 months, so he has yet to make his swimming pool debut. But he does love to lay on my lap and take in all of the action.

I was much more comfortable in a swimsuit pre-baby...post-baby is a different story! Anyone else feel like that?! As Bridget Jones would say, "I don't want anyone seeing my wobbly bits!" haha I am working on that lol

Here is my cute sister-in-law. She just had a baby 6 weeks after I did, and named him Micah. He is adorable, and so so tiny!

I LOVE summer!

Walking Group

Some girls in my apartment complex have recently started a little walking group with our cute babies. It is SO nice to get out of the house, be around other young moms and their babies, and get exercise and fresh air. And it's nice to have an excuse to shower and get ready for the day ha! Please tell me I am not the only new mom who sometimes just stays in pj's and doesn't leave the house for an entire day!

My friend Erica and I started walking several times a week, and we have three other girls who are starting to come, too. I am sure we look like a funny sight...a bunch of women pushing their babies in strollers across the street and along the road...well, maybe in Utah county that is actually a pretty normal sight.

Another time we walked to the park and took some lunch. Liam is still too little to play or swing, so we just chilled on the blanket and enjoyed the sun. Hence the cute hat...that he didn't much care for!

Sleep is a wonderful thing!

I don't want to jinx it, but Liam has been sleeping through the night this week! I think he may be getting it! He had a 9 hour night, 6 hour night (that's better than the typical 3 hours!), and last night he slept 7 1/2 hours! The first time he slept 9 hours I thought something was wrong because I woke up at 7am and realized that was the first time I had woken up since going to bed at 10pm the night before ha! I can't tell you what a difference a full night's sleep makes. It is glorious :) Let's hope this continues!!

Bath time

I LOOOVE bath time with little Liam! For numerous reasons. 1) He is so cute when he is naked haha 2) He gets wide eyed and grins and grins 3) Liam is super colicky and bath time is one of the only times where he isn't crying! I think that one might be my fave reason lol

And there is nothing better than his cute little face looking up at me with that ADORABLE smile :)

A Road Trip and a Wedding

Anth and I had a fun weekend. It was our first road trip with our little man, and I am thrilled to say that Liam did great! One of my best friends, Tara, got married last weekend so we all made the drive to California. The drive was about 9 1/2 hours (and with a baby it's really more like 12 hours after you count all the pulling over and feedings and burpings). Fortunately my grandparents live in St.George so we stayed with them Thursday night and that broke up the drive. It was great to see them, and they were able to meet Liam for the first time :) Liam is their 34th great grand child! What an amazing legacy they have.





We got up early Friday morning and made it to CA in time for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. It was so fun to see old friends and catch up. Here is the beautiful bride to be.

Saturday was Tara's wedding, and I have to say she looked STUNNING! Her dress was so pretty and she looked beautiful and happy.

And the reception was equally nice. Great food, good music, good friends.

I am so glad we made the trip. It was a whirlwind weekend, but totally worth it! Anthony was exhausted. This was mid-day during all of the festivities haha Poor guy has to catch sleep when he can!

And to top off a great time Liam slept almost the entire drive back to Utah!!
