Bath time

I LOOOVE bath time with little Liam! For numerous reasons. 1) He is so cute when he is naked haha 2) He gets wide eyed and grins and grins 3) Liam is super colicky and bath time is one of the only times where he isn't crying! I think that one might be my fave reason lol

And there is nothing better than his cute little face looking up at me with that ADORABLE smile :)

A Road Trip and a Wedding

Anth and I had a fun weekend. It was our first road trip with our little man, and I am thrilled to say that Liam did great! One of my best friends, Tara, got married last weekend so we all made the drive to California. The drive was about 9 1/2 hours (and with a baby it's really more like 12 hours after you count all the pulling over and feedings and burpings). Fortunately my grandparents live in St.George so we stayed with them Thursday night and that broke up the drive. It was great to see them, and they were able to meet Liam for the first time :) Liam is their 34th great grand child! What an amazing legacy they have.

We got up early Friday morning and made it to CA in time for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. It was so fun to see old friends and catch up. Here is the beautiful bride to be.

And all of the bridesmaids.

Saturday was Tara's wedding, and I have to say she looked STUNNING! Her dress was so pretty and she looked beautiful and happy.

Minutes before the ceremony!

And the reception was equally nice. Great food, good music, good friends.

I am so glad we made the trip. It was a whirlwind weekend, but totally worth it! Anthony was exhausted. This was mid-day during all of the festivities haha Poor guy has to catch sleep when he can!

And to top off a great time Liam slept almost the entire drive back to Utah!!

Mother's Day

It was my first Mother's Day this year, and it was so special. I love being a mom, and am so grateful to have my little boy. Anthony made the day so memorable. He asked me to go into the nursery to pick out Liam's church outfit. I walked into the nursery and was blown away at what I saw. Anthony had printed off nearly 100 photographs of Liam's life up to that point in time. He had all different sizes, and had them on the glider, the changing table, in the crib, on the dresser. Everywhere I looked I saw Liam and our new little family. Of course I immediately burst into tears. It was so amazing to see Liam photographed from the day he was born all the way till now. We went to church, and it turned out that Anthony was speaking on motherhood. He didn't even tell me! We showed up and the bishop announced Anthony would be speaking. And of course that made me cry again! He said the sweetest things, and I am so lucky to be married to him. He is such a wonderful dad and a great help to me. I love him. I feel so blessed to be a mom, and to have such a wonderful family.

This doesn't even show the scope of how many pictures were in the nursery! It was amazing. I left the pictures up for a week afterwards because I loved walking in to the Liam's room and seeing him everywhere!

Poor Bosco

So I had to post this picture because its so sad and you just feel bad for the dog. Ever since we brought Liam home from the hospital Bosco has not been happy. It's not that he doesn't like Liam, he just doesn't like that he gets less attention, poor pup. This picture is pretty representative of how he feels most days.

Liam's Blessing

We blessed Liam in church this past Sunday. It was a wonderful day, full of great memories! My parents were in town and were able to attend. This was the first time my dad got to see Liam. Liam would just stare at my dad, and study his face. It was so cute to watch.

We are lucky to have lots of family close by, so they were able to come to the blessing.

I am sure every parent worries that their baby will cry through the blessing...I know I was so worried! Liam is really colicky and isn't quiet very often. Miraculously he didn't cry during the blessing, just made a few peeps. He waited to cry for the pictures haha

What can you do??! :)

He Loves to Scoot!

Liam sleeps much better on his tummy, so I have been putting him on his stomach to sleep. I know they tell you not to let your babies sleep on their stomachs, but it's the only way he will actually sleep so I'm going with it. For those of you with babies, do you let them sleep on their stomachs?! I bought a sound and movement monitor so if he ever stops moving or breathing the monitor will alarm and I can check it out.

Liam is such a funny little baby. I don't know if other babies do this, but Liam will scoot the entire length of his crib during his nap. Because he sleeps on his tummy, he tucks his legs under him and pushes himself forward during the course of several hours.

He starts out vertical like this...

And ends up like this...

Till he is horizontal at the top of his crib.

He never ends up where he starts!
